San Francisco chapter was started in September 2007. During this short period this chapter handled 12 scholarship projects with the support of 6 donors. San Francisco chapter had 9 project supervisors and one financial administrator in Sri Lanka helping in conducting these projects.

However, due to the increase in workload and personnel commitments of the volunteers, San Francisco chapter had transferred its projects to an interim committee under the PGCC. This chapter has ceased its functions from June 2008.
