Both economic need and academic performance are used as criteria to select the recipients. The recipients are identified through personal contacts of our members as well as from recommendations we receive from heads of the schools. All candidates are expected to fill a Pahansila Scholarship application form and must submit to one of the Pahansila committee members or volunteers along with supporting documents. We expect all students to submit a letter from school Principal (or head of the educational institution) with information about academic work, certified copy of the most recent term exam report (or grade 5 scholarship, OL exam, University entrance certificate), a proof of financial condition of the family, letters requesting a scholarship written by the candidate and the parent or guardian.
