The scholarship rates are decided by each committee. The funds disbursed to primary and secondary school students are used to pay for additional coaching ("tuition") and to purchase school supplies. We allocate two different rates for students above grade 8 and below grade 8 (usually US$ 10 and $7 per month). We believe that students above grade 8 face higher educational expenses, particularly for extra classes. In situations where two or more siblings are supported, each family receives an extra allowance decided by the Pahansila committee and the donor. For undergraduate students, the scholarship rate varies depending their academic program and needs.
