The Chicagoland Sri Lankan community presented the variety show "Makee giya sithuwam" on September 25, 2004 featuring local talent. A brief introduction to the Pahansila Scholarship Project was presented by committee member Viveka Kudaligama. Mr. G.L. Chandrapala, the producer of the show, pledged a donation of $500 toward Pahansila Urbana-Champaign Chapter from its proceeds. Our special thanks go to Dr. Lakshman Mapa of Chicago for coordinating with Mr. Chandrapala in this much appreciated donation.
