Mr. Kelley Davis, benefactor of Pahansila-Davis Educational Project visited Kandy (Sri Lanka) in February 2010 to see the progress of the projects we conduct. This is his sixth visit.

 

On the first day Mr. Davis visited Sarana Sevana children's home and met students, teachers, and the representatives of the Board of Management of the orphanage. They discussed about several projects that could be done in 2010. The children unveiled their musical and dancing talents in front of the guests and this followed by a tea party.

 

In the evening, Mr. Davis met the Pahansila volunteers who are coordinating the project and the teachers of Sarana Sevana and OL classes in Kandy. They discussed on future plans of the project and areas that need to be developed. 

 

The second day Mr. Davis visited Polgollawatte School and Weerodara School. He met the Principals of the schools and some teachers. They gave a tour around the facility. Possibility of developing the computer lab was one of the main items discussed. At Weerodara School, Mr. Davis inspected the newly donated library.

 

We are thankful to Mr. Kelley Davis for taking the effort to visit the projects and for their valuable input. Our thanks also go out to all our Kandy volunteers and the heads of the institutions visited by the guests for all the support and arrangements.
