Ishika Lokuge, committee member of Pahansila General Coordinating Committee, along with Pahansila volunteers Mr. Nandasena Perera and Mrs. Ruwangani Jayasundara met with several Pahansila scholarship recipients, on December 28, 2010 at Ampara/Nawa Medagama Maha Vidyalaya. This is the final and third meeting we conducted for 2010/20118 period. All the scholarship recipients (and parents/guardians of them) in the Eastern Province were invited for the meeting. The meeting was held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Principal Mr. Pushpakumara, organized the meeting.

About 25 guests attended the meeting, including 10 scholarship recipients and their parents/guardians. It was yet another very successful meeting. The meeting gave us the opportunity to meet recipients & their guardians in person, resolve any problems they might have encountered, and emphasize the importance of maintaining academic and extra-curricular progress to continue Pahansila scholarship. Mr. Pushpakumara and some students addressed the meeting. Pahansila recipients and their families warmly treated us by arranging tea and snacks for breakfast and with a home made lunch.

Pahansila General Coordinating Committee wishes to thank our Nawa Medagama Principal who did a splendid job in organizing the meeting. Also we wish to thank the families of scholarship recipients for hosting us.
