Ishika Lokuge, committee member of Pahansila General Coordinating Committee, along with Pahansila volunteers Mr. Nandasena Perera and Mrs. Ruwangani Jayasundara met with several Pahansila scholarship recipients, on January 6, 2011 at Yapahuwa temple. All the scholarship recipients (and parents/guardians of them) in the Maho area were invited for the meeting. The meeting was held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A pahansila volunteer, Mrs. P.M. Anulawathie, organized the meeting.

About 20 guests attended the meeting, including 8 scholarship recipients and their parents/guardians. It was yet another very successful meeting. This is the first time we met these students from Maho area. The meeting gave us the opportunity to meet recipients & their guardians in person, resolve any problems they might have encountered, and emphasize the importance of maintaining academic and extra-curricular progress to continue Pahansila scholarship. A school teacher and some students addressed the meeting. Mrs. Anulawathie treated us by arranging tea and snacks for breakfast and with a home made lunch.

Pahansila General Coordinating Committee wishes to thank our Maho supervisor, Mrs. Anulawathie who did a splendid job in organizing the meeting and hosting us.
